His Highness visits the
University Hospital

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah and Supreme President of Sharjah University and his entourage visited the University Hospital in the University City in Sharjah on 14th January 2010. His Highness inspected the various sections of the hospital wards and sections, and expressed his satisfaction with the ongoing implementation for the opening on May 29th, 2010 approved the next day first class graduating from the College of Medicine and College of Dentistry. The University Hospital will have 220 beds and 60 outpatient clinics in addition to the six operating rooms, the latest diagnostic centers laboratory, radiology and medical imaging, which includes most of the major disciplines, with emphasis on integrated health care for diabetes, heart and blood vessels, children, obstetrics and gynecology, general surgery, digestive and urinary tract and bones. Accompanied by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Supreme President of Sharjah University in this round, Sheikh Salem Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qassimi, the Ruler's Office of the Chancellor, Abdulrahman Bin Ali Al Jarwan Advisor at the Amiri Diwan in Sharjah, Dr. Amr Abdel Hamid, Advisor to the Ruler of Sharjah for Higher Education, Mr. Nigel Weale, CEO of University Hospital, Dr. Hossam Eldin Hamdi, Vice Chancellor for Medical Colleges Dean of the Faculty of Medicine , and Dr. Taher Salah al-Din, Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs and a number of deans and faculty members at the university in addition to engineering consultants.
